Lianchi District, located in the eastern part of the central city of Baoding, is the area with the richest cultural heritage, the most concentrated preservation of historical buildings and the best reflection of the city's characteristics. There are 8 state-level cultural relics protection units, 3 historical and cultural blocks, 3 provincial-level cultural relics protection units, 24 city-level cultural protection units, 9 protected residential buildings and a large number of intangible cultural heritage.
 

Due to historical reasons, many historic sites have been aging, damaged and occupied. Since Lianchi District launched the "Action to Improve the Quality of the City", the Cultural and Tourism Bureau of Lianchi District, in accordance with the deployment at the municipal and district levels and in close cooperation with the District Law Enforcement Bureau and other departments, has carried out centralized demolition of illegal buildings within the scope of the ancient city protection area.We will strive to restore the original appearance of historical buildings faster and better.
